It was a pleasure to attend a reception at10 Downing Street hosted by Rishi Sunak earlier this week. The Prime Minister spoke about his priorities for the year of halving inflation, growing the economy and how this government is getting on with the job of delivering them.
He also spoke about the importance of local councils in delivering on resident priorities and how, time and again, the statistics showed Conservatives council delivering lower council tax and better services.
It is great to know that the Prime Minister understands the challenges faced by local government and is supportive.
